Some small employers (regardless of industry) offer health insurance, some do not. The only way you can know for sure is to ask – if interviewing, ask the company directly. Or, if you know someone who works there already, ask them.

I worked in radio for 15 years, all on the sales side. I started an agency 10 years ago, and buy all types of media.
Radio does a little better with me than with most agencies, but it is still far behind TV for a simple reason: TV usually works better for fewer dollars for all my clients, and for some clients (not all) newspaper works better than TV.

In the top 30 markets, radio does very well. Partly that’s because it’s cheap to produce (compared to TV), broadcasts live 24 hours a day (usually), and there is huge demand for broadcast advertising. TV gets the gravy, but radio survives very well on the leftovers.

In medium and smaller markets, the clear-channelization of radio has hurt the medium badly. Shows that are taped hours, or days, in advance leave zero opportunity for interaction with your audience. Contests for which you have a one in a billion chance of winning couldn’t save Publisher’s Clearing House, and they won’t save radio either. A tornado came through our town last year during a weekday evening. NOT ONE OF OUR SEVENTEEN RADIO STATIONS put out a warning. There was no one live at any of the stations, or no one who was old enough to know better. That’s not just sad, it’s disgraceful. Of course, all four of the local TV stations were tracking the storm live.

Plus, in the medium and smaller markets, there is less advertising demand. So it’s easier for TV to lower their prices and sweep up the advertisers radio would normally get. I get TV packages in my home market that are HALF the price of a radio schedule, and deliver TWICE AS MUCH audience. Sorry, but that’s a no-brainer.

Right now, 40 cents of every advertising dollar spent in radio goes to line the owners’, or shareholders’ pockets. As they bring in fewer dollars, owners cut back on staff even more.

Until radio starts investing more money into its product, hiring quality talent, letting them work live, doing local contests and BIG promotions that local people actually win, give timely weather and news, and work hard to rebuild strong, loyal listeners, radio will continue to be far behind TV and newspapers.

I’ve only touched the surface. I could go on for a lot longer.

To me that website looks like a scam, they want you to buy a membership, and look at the bonuses, it’s “how to beat a ticket” and all of these limited time offer bullcrap. To me, “if it looks too good to be true, it more than likely is”.
